Quad StudentsAt Breakthrough Santa Fe we are committed to helping motivated students prepare for, and go to, college.  Through summer programs, after-school sessions and workshops, we challenge students to achieve more than they ever thought possible.

Students accepted to Breakthrough start by attending six-week summer programs at Santa Fe Preparatory School after both 6th and 7th grades.  In addition to classes in English, Science, Math and History, we offer electives like Model Rocketry, the Chemistry of Food, Green Slime (a class about biology and keeping amphibious creatures as pets), Poetry, Game Theory and many others.  Class sizes are small—five to seven students—so each Breakthrough participant is guaranteed individual attention and support.  We have special events every Friday, and hold a special celebration at the end of summer to recognize our hard work and achievements.

Our teachers are exceptional high school and college students—only a little older than many of our students!  They know what it takes to succeed, and are committed to sharing their love of learning to help their students succeed, too.

During the regular school year, Breakthrough Santa Fe continues its support by holding weekly after-school tutoring sessions.  Once in high school, our Breakthrough students have the option of signing up for college prep courses and attending workshops that focus on college preparation.  They receive the support and guidance they need to realize their dream of going to college.
